Dubbo Aboriginal Cancer Support Group

Aboriginal artist Brooke Sullivan presents a painting to Dubbo Aboriginal Cancer Support Group members depicting her interpretation of the fight against cancer.

“This is painting represent all the beautiful and wonderful woman who have fight against cancer… some have win this fight and other lose the fight against it…the pink ribbon is for breast cancer… the different colours in the woman spirited show that is goes across all races and cultures…the white dots around show the journey that they all most go through… the pink stars are for the woman that lose the battle against it…”

Brooke is a proud Aboriginal woman from Dubbo (Wiradjuri Country) who is also connected to Bourke (Ngemba people, Wongaibon Country). Her reason for painting is to remain connected to the Aboriginal culture.
