Host a fundraising event
Cancer Council is dependent on community and business support to help fund vital programs in cancer research, support, prevention, and advocacy.
Be a part of one of our established events
Cancer Council’s portfolio of events includes a range of iconic and enjoyable fundraisers that companies and other organisations can get involved in:-
Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea
Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea is Cancer Council’s most popular fundraising event and the largest, most successful event of its kind in Australia.
Every May more than a million Australians get together for a cuppa to help fund research, prevention, and support services for those affected by cancer. Morning teas can be simple to organise and are a fantastic excuse to catch up with work colleagues. Guests can simply donate to take part on the day and raffles, auctions and competitions can add to the fun and boost the income from your event. Simply nominate a host, have them register and we’ll send them a kit to help them on their way.
Hosts can register at www.biggestmorningtea.com.au or call 1300 65 65 85.
The March Charge
The March Charge is a fun 31-day virtual fitness challenge anyone can do – because participants set their own walking or running goal themselves.
Just by walking or running for Cancer Council during the month of March, and raising funds, your workplace can help us Charge ahead with cancer research.
It’s the perfect opportunity for your staff to get away from the screens, get active and improve overall health and wellbeing. You could organise lunch runs, walking meetings, or fitness sessions via zoom. It’s your Charge and your choice.
Create teams within your workplace by department, unit, or branch to get some friendly competition between colleagues happening!

7 Bridges Walk
Cancer Council NSW’s 7 Bridges Walk is an iconic event that sees thousands of people getting involved to raise funds for people affected by cancer.
The course is a 28km closed loop circuit that travels clockwise around Sydney Harbour (and across 7 bridges), highlighting many magnificent views and harbourside localities.
Encourage your staff to enter as a team or volunteer on the day.

Organise your own activity
Companies can organise their own fundraising activities and direct funds back to Cancer Council. We can provide you with many useful tips on how to run a successful fundraising event, plus we can support your program with branding and a range of cancer-related information.
- Tailor an event to fit your corporate culture and help reinforce your values to staff eg about fitness (fun run), creativity (craft sale), competition (trivia night).
- Raise funds through a company event such as your Christmas party.
