Your story can help others
Are you interested in sharing your cancer experience publicly to help others understand the real impact of cancer? Whether you’re a cancer patient, survivor or carer, your story matters – and we want to hear it!
We’re also keen to hear from organisations or groups who have participated in one of our programs, services or fundraising events and want to share their experience.
Please fill out the form below to become a Cancer Council Community Ambassador and share your story.
What are Community Ambassadors?
Cancer Council Community Ambassadors share their story to help understand the real human experience of cancer.
Why are Community Ambassadors important?
Stories from our community are the fuel that powers all our communication efforts. We need your help to raise awareness of key issues for cancer patients, make sure the right people know how to access cancer support services, build support for our fundraising campaigns and reduce the burden of cancer in the community.
What does a Community Ambassador do?
The time commitment of being a Community Ambassador depends on your availability and the activity. We need stories for a range of communication efforts including, but not limited to:
- supporter newsletters
- social media posts
- videos
- fundraising campaigns
- media interviews.
Each takes a different amount of time but importantly, we always leave the decision to you!
What happens after I fill out the form?
We will respond to submissions if an opportunity arises to share that story. We will never share your personal details or use them for marketing purposes and will always contact you for permission before using any aspect of your story.
Thank you in advance for your patience and interest in lending your story to our cause!
