Amber’s 4 tips on staying motivated in The March Charge
By Cancer Council NSW
Amber Laidler is our new ambassador for The March Charge, an online, month-long personal challenge that’s raising funds to tell cancer where to go!
Why Amber is leading her Charge on cancer
Amber Laidler, Sydney based journalist and weather presenter for 7NEWS, is the newest ambassador for The March Charge. “I’m supporting The March Charge because almost one in two Australians will be diagnosed with cancer by the age of 85, and I want to do my part to change this by Charging, getting active, and fundraising to end cancer.”, says Amber.
“It doesn’t care how old you are, how happy you are, how kind or loving or generous you are or how much you have to look forward to. The tragic reality is most people probably know someone who either has or had cancer and it doesn’t just impact that person, it’s something that is felt by everyone who knows and loves them.
Amber’s Team is currently leading the Charge having raised almost $28,000 for people affected by cancer.
Amber’s top four tips for Charging this month:
Recruit your friends and family to walk with you. Having a support team can make all the difference.
If you feel behind on fundraising, don’t be afraid to share your fundraising page around with your friends, family, and colleagues.
Don’t hesitate to reach out for support. Call, text, or email, and your campaign will build up little by little.
Share your photos and stories with the world. Share a picture on social media to remind everyone why you are March Charging and how they can support.
What is The March Charge?
The March Charge is an annual fundraiser that promotes physical activity and how it helps reduce cancer risk while simultaneously raising funds for life-saving cancer research, prevention and support services.
