Last year saw 13,162 people register for The March Charge and collectively raise $1.9 million. If you were one of our Chargers – thank you! This personal fitness challenge asks participants to pledge to keep active for the month of March by walking or running and tracking their progress. Participants can register as a team or individually.
93-year-old Cancer Council NSW ambassador, Heather Lee, has participated in The March Charge for the last three years. Each year she sets herself a goal to walk 200km during the month of March. Heather, whose husband died from lung cancer in in the late 1990s says, “I do it all in memory of my husband. If there is anything that I can do that will support people affected by cancer, then I’m always up for the challenge.”
By walking, running or moving for Cancer Council this March, and raising funds, you can help us Charge ahead with cancer research, prevention, and support services.
Charge anywhere, anytime you like! Charge in the morning with your family or walk with your colleagues at lunch – it’s your Charge and your choice. You can even Charge with your dog, like Gnocchi our golden retriever ambassador for The March Charge who lends a paw each year to support cancer research and has so far Charged an incredible 117kms and raised $918! That’s paw-mazing!
Challenge yourself this March by signing up for The March Charge to raise funds and tell cancer where to go.
