Daffodil Garden at Eden Gardens
Eden Gardens and Cancer Council NSW have united to create a special place called the Daffodil Garden.
“Daffodils are the international symbol of hope for people touched by cancer”
Eden Gardens have very generously donated an area to Cancer Council NSW to help us create a place of thanks, remembrance and hope. We invite you to gather to remember loved ones lost to cancer. It is also where we can acknowledge those who have made outstanding contributions to fund cancer research, education and patient support. We welcome you to enjoy this Garden while looking with inspiration and hope towards a cancer-free future. We are united in our belief that cancer can be defeated in our own lifetimes.
Eden Gardens and Cancer Council NSW – building a cancer smart community.
Daffodil Plaques
These Daffodils recognise individuals who are part of our Breakthrough regular giving program. Breakthrough supporters commit to regular gifts to the organisation. These are often monthly gifts, or maybe quarterly, annually or bi-annually. These feature in the middle of the Main Wall on 3 large silver boards which house individual Daffodil Plaques.
Those supporters who give us our highest value regular donations are our Luminaries, and they have the option of having their contribution recognised with a Gold Daffodil. Our Visionaries who are recognised with a Silver Daffodil and our Leaders are recognised with a Bronze Daffodil.
Wall of Honour
The Wall of Honour remembers those we have lost to cancer and is comprised of the bronze plaques on both sides of the wall. Those honoured on the wall have had significant donations made In Memory to their lives.
Significant Bequest Benefactors
The special people whom have remembered Cancer Council NSW in their Will, those that share our vision of a cancer free future, have left a lasting legacy to help protect the wellbeing of future generations and we recognise their thoughtful generosity through these plaques erected in their name.
