Grants from philanthropic trusts and foundations enable Cancer Council to work towards our vision of a cancer free future. We do this through partnering with like-minded trusts and foundations to deliver our strategic priorities and support all people affected by cancer.

As an evidence-based organisation, CCNSW invests in research that improves our collective knowledge about cancer and helps to identify the areas where we can have the greatest impact. Meeting the information and supportive care needs of people affected by cancer continues to be a strategic priority for CCNSW.

Working with organisations to find the best project, grants help support our core programs, and fund new and innovative projects.

Why you should support Cancer Council

We work across every area of every cancer, from advocacy and prevention, Information and Support services and cancer research.

Our Purpose is to change the path of cancer, and make sure no one walks alone.

Our Values speak to the expectations we have of ourselves and our role in achieving our vision of a cancer free future.

We build connections.

Our strength comes from weaving our relationships with each other, people living with cancer and their friends/families, communities, donors, and partners together.

We make a difference.

Our work changes the path of cancer and improves quality of life. Through positive actions, we are determined to create better outcomes for our community.

We stand up and speak out.

We are driven by our vision of a cancer free future and face it with the same grit and determination that people living with cancer, their loved ones and communities do.

We are continuously exploring.

If we sit still, cancer isn’t going anywhere – our imaginations energise our everyday pursuit to improve, do better to push us closer to our goal.
